Sellick Partnership is exclusively recruiting an experienced HR Project Manager to join our public sector client based in Derby, working on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 3 days a week onsite, with regular travel to Oldbury.

The HR Project Manager role would suit a CIPD level 5 HR professional with a background in employment legislation, change management and HR projects. The HR Project Manager will contribute to the delivery of the organisation's people strategy by providing an end-to-end, structured change programme aligned with the current and changing operational and strategic needs and objectives.

The duties of the HR Project Manager include:
· Working closely with the People and Culture Leadership Team to develop project plans, coordinate resources, manage budgets, and ensure successful project outcomes.
· Developing detailed project plans, ensuring that clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables are outlined, agreed, and executed in a timely manner.
· Working closely with diverse operational groups to drive the day-to-day project elements, ensuring regular updates of project plans as agreed.
· Collaborating with various teams, and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure alignment and support for the HR projects.
· Overseeing project budgets and resources, making sure to optimise allocation to achieve the project goals.
· Proactively identifying and addressing potential risks to project success, implementing strategies to minimise the impact.
· Responsibility for managing all aspects of the end-to-end deployment of the project, enabling the delivery of clear business benefits as agreed by the Executive sponsors and senior management.
· Implement processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline operations.
· Providing guidance and professional up-to-date advice to managers at all levels when required, ensuring employment law and policies are adhered to.
· Supporting with any other People & Culture activities when the need arises.
· Ongoing coordination and enablement of two People and Culture Administrators.

The ideal HR Project Manager will:
· Be qualified to CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.
· Have demonstrable experience leading and delivering medium to large scale HR change projects in a multi-site business.
· Knowledge of employment law and best practice.
· Ability to handle sensitive situations with care and empathy.
· Have demonstrable experience in managing and prioritisation of conflicting deadlines.
· Demonstrable experience in leading and enabling direct line reports; empowering others to achieve shared vision.

The HR Project Manager will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands.
