We are seeking industrial maintenance technicians for our client, a tier-one automotive supplier, at their Bluffton, OH facility. The positions are direct with the company and they have openings on both 2nd and 3rd shift.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible to for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment. This includes but not limited to servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine tuning, or testing machines, devices or equipment to run efficiently.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* Wears all required safety equipment and ensures area and environment is safe
* Is familiar with all safety regulations and applies them consistently on a day to day basis
* Coordinates efforts with supervisors, engineers, production, and maintenance employees on machine and facility equipment related issues
* Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facilitys equipment.
* Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
* Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
* Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
* Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
* Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments, in a timely manner.
* Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
* Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
* Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
* Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
* Use computers to program, set-up functions, enter data, and/or analyze malfunctioning systems.
* Identify and document problems, sets goals, tracks progress and works with teams to implement solutions
* Report issues and concerns to the Group leader or Supervisor
* Basic understanding of Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards
* Be self-directed and encourage continuous improvement through involvement and input
* Clean and organize area, keep free of clutter and safety hazards
* Any other activities as required by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
_EDUCATION:_Associates Degree in a related technical fieldORHigh School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years manufacturing experience with journeymen card
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize
* Excellent problem solving skills such as 8D and 5 Whys
* Basic understanding and knowledge of electrical systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), work instructions, and product layout
* Excellent communication skills as evidenced in employee relations, team skills, and has the ability to interface directly with the management, production and other skilled trade employees to resolve issues
* Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
* Ability to work independently, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Excellent attendance record
* Must pass an unbiased off site test.
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Previous manufacturing experiences a plus
