Gleeson has exclusively partnered with a Freight forwarding business looking for a Customs Compliance Lead to join their growing business in the UK as they go though AEO status

Job Title: Customs Compliance Lead

Location: Hull

Salary: £35-45,000

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement customs compliance strategies and policies to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
Stay updated on changes to customs regulations and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.
Oversee import and export activities, including documentation, classification, valuation, and tariff determination.
Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customs authorities and external auditors.
Provide training and guidance to employees on customs compliance requirements and best practices.
Monitor and analyse customs-related data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.Ideal Candidate:
