The company is a renowned, established and a very successful manufacturer of temperature control systems and machinery who are enjoying significant growth, success and investment. They are seeking to recruit a Process Cooling Service Engineer to further strengthen their operations.
The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for providing maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and commissioning services for process cooling systems in various industrial environments.
Key responsibilities and duties;
* Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of existing cooling equipment to identify necessary repairs, upgrades or replacements
* Troubleshoot complex issues related to process cooling systems, including electrical, mechanical and control components using diagnostic tools and techniques
* Repair or replace faulty equipment, components and systems to restore optimal functionality and minimize downtime
* Perform commissioning activities for process cooling systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
* Collaborate with customers and internal teams to provide technical support and to offer guidance on system operation, maintenance and best practise
* Perform preventative maintenance activities, such as cleaning, lubrication and adjusting cooling equipment to ensure peak performance on machinery
* Conducting system performance evaluations
* Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs.
* Train and mentor other technicians, ensuring quality standards are adhered to
As a Service Engineer you will need to hold the following skills and experience.
* Proven experience with a minimum of 5 years as a Process Cooling Engineer, specialising in breakdowns, fault finding, repair and maintenance
* Proficient in performing on site breakdowns, commissioning and maintenance of process cooling systems
* Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical components. Control Systems and refrigeration principles
* Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues on temperature control machinery
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Understanding of pump data plates along with valves, heat exchangers, free coolers, adiabatic coolers and associated controls
* Willingness to travel extensively to clients and able to work independently at times
* Hold a current driving license and able to travel overseas
Salary - up to £45,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours of work - Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm / Friday 8am to 4pm
The role is field based and hours worked are classed as "door to door". Overtime is paid at premium rates.
The company is based in Tamworth so is easily commutable from Birmingham, Nuneaton, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coalville, Hinckley, Lichfield, Cannock, Burton on Trent, Coventry, Leicester
