Quality, Health & Safety Manager

Yolk Recruitment is exclusively supporting the search for a Quality and Health & Safety Manager for a prestigious engineering company in Swansea. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and elevate quality and safety standards in a dynamic and challenging heavy mechanical industry environment. Experience with inspection and testing in machining, fabrication, and welding environments is highly beneficial.
This is what you'll be doing:
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality standards.
Analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
Coordinate with the welding coordinator and other departments to ensure seamless integration of quality processes.
Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas of concern.
Ensure all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities are performed and reported accurately and in a timely manner.
Stay updated with industry regulations and standards, ensuring the company's quality and health & safety practices are current and effective.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.And this is what you'll need:
Experience working in a heavy engineering background.
Knowledge of working with materials and different steels.
Experience with ISO 9001.
