About the Role: Teaching Assistant / 1:1
Location – Cardiff (CF23)
Hours – Full Time (8:30-3:30)
Pay - £83.85 per day
Start Date - 10th June
End Date - Role extending into September 2024
Are you an experienced teaching assistant and confident working with children with additional needs? Teaching Personnel would love to hear from you!
Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a teaching assistant to work in a mainstream primary school on a full time basis. The role will be based in the nursery/reception class, and the ideal candidate will be working with 3/4 children with additional learning needs to provide 1:1 support throught the day. The needs of the children will range from non-verbal and autism, and the school are looking for an energetic and positive teaching assistant who can work well in the busy classroom environment. Confidence interacting with children with additional needs and supporting with behaviour management in the class is required, as well as working collabritvely with the teachers and teaching assistants in the class to create a positive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children with ALN needs or similar experience
Knowledge of behaviour management
Nurturing and caring nature with a passion for supporting children
Strong communication skills
Requirement Criteria:
Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (Teaching Personnel can help with this!)
Registered to the Education Workforce Council (mandatory requirement in Wales)
Provide professional based references
