Junior Account Manager

The Company:

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Junior Sales Account Manager to join a reputable and established supplier of fashion to high street retailers.

The Role:

* Update and manage critical paths.

* Ensuring purchase orders are correct before sending to factory

* Follow order status with factories / far-east offices

* Provide administrative support to the team

* Communicate with customers and Far East teams via email and telephone

* Chase samples ensuring they meet deadline requirements.

* Steam and package samples for delivery to customers

* Preparation of showroom for customer meetings, hanging, collecting samples.

* Manage the Garment Technical function in line with critical path requirements

* Assess technical issues, which could delay the critical path

* Create risk assesment’s for all styles on order and provide a list of test requirements based on the product and buyer manuals

* Ensure the following fittings are carried out with the in line with the customer requirements:

* Maintain effective communication with overseas technologists in all technical and quality requirements for each style as required by the customer

* Travel may be required within the UK and overseas

* Maintain good working relationships, an open dialogue and effective communication, both within the team and at all levels with other teams/departments within the Company.

Skills Required:

* Excellent MS Office skills especially Word and Excel, with some PowerPoint an advantage

* Willingness to learn with excellent communication skills

* Hindu speaking would be advantageous

* Capable of working under pressure and on own initiative with a flexible approach to the workload

* Strong organisational skills

* To work as part of a small team – be a team player

* Self motivated

* Willingness to undertake some travel in the UK

* Experience in the garment / fashion business with knowledge of production cycle in factories in China, Bangladesh & India - desirable.

* Have demonstrable ability to work to critical deadlines

* Technical ability with knowledge of garment make-up and production methods with knowledge of fit on mannequins and pattern alteration.

* Have a good working knowledge of customer quality standards

* Strong interpersonal and people management skills

* Full UK Driving Licence - preferable
