Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Location: Trafford Park, Manchester
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £36,000 Basic of 37hours per week.

Shifts: Morning, Afternoon, Nights (Option to Fix Shift)
Shift Flow: Mornings, Nights, Afternoons rotating every week. (Option to fix)
Mon-Thurs
Mornings 06:00:14:00, Nights 22:00-06:00, Afternoons 14:00-22:00
Friday
Mornings 06:00-12:00, Nights 18:00 - 24:00, Afternoons 12:00-18:00
Start Date: Immediately

The Client
Our client offer wheelset and wheel machining and wheelset, gearbox, and bogie overhauls for the UK rail industry. As leading experts within there field, they have the manufacturing and engineering experience as well as the advantages of vertical integration with there steel forge in Italy. This enables them to offer a range of solutions to leading operators in the passenger and freight markets.

The role
You will be responsible for profiling and realigning wheel sets for the rolling stock industry.

* Experience of Fanuc & Siemens controls
* Experience on Machining Centres / Vertical lathes & borers
* Use of measuring equipment (Micrometres, Verniers etc)
* Ability to read engineering drawings.
* Ability to understanding Tolerances and work within this to drawing requirements.
* Ability to amend programmes using tool offsets.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements NVQ Level 2 or 3 award in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline or equivalent experience.
