GSL Education are looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to support primary Schools in Hexham, Northumberland.

Job Summary: Graduate Teaching Assistants in primary settings support the learning activities of younger children under the direction of a lead teacher, focusing on fundamental educational activities, basic childcare, and learning through play.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in delivering educational activities and learning experiences.
Support children’s educational and social development.
Help prepare teaching materials and set up learning environments.
Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning concepts.
Requirements:

Degree in Education or a related field preferred.
Strong communication skills and a passion for working with children.
Enthusiastic and supportive attitude.
Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers.
Please note: This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful candidates must satisfy all background checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
