Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Common Fund Valuation Specialist
•    Process incoming/outgoing transfer request
•    Taking proactive measures by calling/email contra-firms or mutual fund companies to complete request
•    Follow up for all transfers utilizing internal workflow tools providing clear and concise consistent updates to the end client.
•    Workflows must be reviewed daily to assure that we are on track to complete the transfer by the target date assigned.
•    Review, research & resolve reconciliation items & blotters daily. No position breaks that exceed 3 days. Position breaks in risk of the 3-day requirement should be escalated to supervisor or manager for assistance.
•    Respond to all department emails before end of business day. If the inquiry cannot be satisfied on the day requested, it is expected that you will confirm receipt of the inquiry and provide the sender information on when they can expect resolution.
•    Adapt quickly to increased volumes. Organize your day and your activities allowing you to address spikes in volume.
•    Respond to leadership communication in a timely manner. This means that it is expected that you will acknowledge an e-mail within 1 hour and a Microsoft Teams Chat within 15 minutes unless at lunch. It is not expected that you can resolve all inquiries in that timeframe, but it is expected that you acknowledge receipt and provide sender information about your course of action.
•    Responsible for understanding and performing procedural duties and if an error occurs, the ability to identify where the error occurred in the process.
•    Required to participant, ask questions, take notes during all training.
• Ensures all manual trades and deliveries are processed correctly and timely.
• To ensure straight through processing, proactively identifies exceptions that may cause issues with settlement and communicates exceptions to business lines.
• Monitors all workflows and request queues (QForms, Sharepoint, Email) and responds within the defined service level standard.
• On a daily basis, monitors all control accounts for exceptions.
• Reviews and clears all cash exceptions and share reconciliation items.
• Generates trade advices for mailing/emailing to clients.
• Provides monthly, weekly or ad-hoc reports for manager.
• Participates with other team members in reviewing and assessing current practices and procedures.
• Participate in monthly storage procedures for department.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience preferable.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Proficient in the use of basic office equipment and tools as well as applications specific to trust systems/processes
• Requires strong problem-solving, time management, organizational and data entry skills
• Requires attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and adjust schedules to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in an organized manner
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Developing support role. Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency. Works on assignments that are routine in nature and which follow accepted practice. Normally follows established procedures on assignments and requires general instructions for most assignments. Works under close supervision with little latitude for independent judgment. Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience. Typically requires up to two years of experience in an office environment.
