Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team in Lanarkshire. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our construction projects, managing costs and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and collaborate with a talented team of professionals.

This role is part of one of the fastest growing Building & Maintenance services in Scotland, allowing the successful candidate to enjoy security in their role and the opportunity to progress their career.

As part of this role, you'll be:

* Manage project costs from inception to completion

* Conduct cost analysis and prepare budgets

* Prepare tender and contract documents

* Evaluate and negotiate contractor and supplier bids

* Track and monitor project expenses

* Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders

* Identify cost-saving opportunities

Ideally, you'll have:

* Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience

* Strong knowledge of mainstream construction processes and practices

* Experience with costing and first principles

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Effective communication and negotiation abilities

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
