Our partner is a four-star hotel amongst 10 acres of beautiful gardens. The hotel, which has recently undergone a significant refurbishment, boasts 85 bedrooms, a leisure club, extensive conference and banqueting facilities and a 2-rosette restaurant.
They are looking to recruit a Head Chef to join their Kitchen team.
This is a very hands-on role which is demanding, but rewarding in a busy kitchen producing only the highest quality of fresh food for the restaurant, bar, and C&B. Your responsibilities will include menu development, maintaining a high standard of health and hygiene throughout the property, achieving budgeted food gross profit and overall management of the Kitchen. You will also be responsible for all managing and maintaining all food safety and health & safety procedures and documentation. Demonstrable experience of HACCP management, kitchen health & safety, training and an intermediate food hygiene certificate are essential.
The ideal candidate for the Head Chef position should:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff at all levels
Health & Safety Level 3 an advantage
Experience in Fine dining is advantage
