General Manager of Regulated Water Utility - Idaho

Job Description
This role will be based in Boise, Idaho.  Candidates outside of Boise are encouraged to apply as Veolia North America will provide relocation assistance.  
Position Purpose: 
The General Manager is an exciting opportunity with an ambitious water utility company. As an expert communicator, this person will be a pivotal player in building out the company’s brand and value proposition locally in the Idaho market. Solid business presence and financial acumen are required and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders seamlessly will be key. Experience working with regulatory agencies and capital improvement projects is preferred. The ideal candidate for this position will be excited by the opportunity to partner with the other three (3) General Managers and collaborate with our technology, water, and energy professionals in the West Region to elevate the business to the next level.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Number of Customers: 260,000 people across four communities. Boise, Eagle, Meridian & Ada County
Division Revenue: $60M 
Lead a Local Team of 141 employees, including 6 Direct Reports.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the utility division’s mission and goals including local & HQ priorities.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of water treatment and distribution systems.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to water quality, safety, and environmental protection.
Responsible for the profit & loss of the utility. Manage the utility’s budget, financial performance, and capital improvement projects.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of employees, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration and innovation.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, regulatory agencies, government officials, and other stakeholders.
Represent the utility in public meetings, hearings, and other forums.
Active member of the Utility Division Senior leadership team.
