You will…
Have at least a bachelor’s degree in education, or a similar field.
Be a warm and friendly character.
Have a passion for the education of young learners.
Be committed to improving the progress of pupils as they approach their SAT examinations.
Be dedicated to providing teaching staff with effective assistance and support.
Ideally have previous experience of working with children, or in a school setting, but this is not mandatory.
The Role
In your time as a KS2 Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide both 1-2-1 and small group support to KS2 pupils in the classroom. You will offer in-depth and effective support to teaching staff and will monitor pupils' progress across all aspects of the syllabus. To be successful in this role, you will enthusiastically partake in activities with the wider school community and will assist in extra-curricular sessions. It is essential that you use your friendly personality to build strong relationships with both staff and pupils as a means of creating a positive learning environment.
