RMS Recruitment are looking for a MIG Welder to join their clients’ team based in Ferryhill.
About this role:
This is a permanent position working a 2-shift pattern starting on day shift for induction and training. The salary for this role is £16.80 per hour.
Day Shift
Monday to Thursday 6am – 2.30pm
Friday 6am – 12.30pm
Back Shift
Monday to Thursday 2.30pm – 11pm
Friday 12.30pm – 7pm
Overview:
Must be a confident MIG welder.
Able to read engineering drawings without assistance.
Work ranges from day to day using many different material types and thicknesses ranging from 0.9m – 5mm mild steel, 1mm – 10mm aluminium & 1mm – 3mm stainless steel. Please note that this role will predominately involve working with stainless steel.
Must have at least 12 months welding experience in sheet metal or similar type environment.
Must be comfortable reading and interpreting weld symbols.
Must be able to work free hand as well as using jigs and fixtures.
