Role: Financial Operations Manager
Location: Stansted
Salary: Upon Application
Hours: 14 month FTC – Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
Friday: 08:30 – 14:30
Hybrid role with minimum of 2 days per week in the office
Role:
You will oversee the financial accounting of the main business and its subsidiaries.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and industry standards.
Management of finance team responsible for AP, AR, Payroll, expenses
Leading projects to improve accounting processes and systems
Leading month-end closing process ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed
Responsibility for certain month-end closing tasks (fixed assets ledger, accrued costs, deferred charges, IFRS16 adjustments etc.)
Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by Head of Finance
What You Bring
Reliable, curious, and quick learner
At least 2-3 years’ experience as Senior accountant in small or medium size organisation. Large organisation is not considered a disadvantage as long as the role was hands-on and broad-based
Professional finance qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA etc.)
Proven experience of managing and coaching a team
Knowledge of IFRS, UK financial reporting requirements and tax system
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and contribute to strategic discussions
Knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g. ERP systems, Excel). Hands on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be considered as an advantage.
Change management and system migration experience would be considered as an advantage
