Head of Ocean Cargo Business
A leading global provider of new generation IT solutions to the Travel, Transportation and Logistics industries is looking for a Head of Ocean Cargo Business.
What you'll be doing:
* Responsibility for strategy, vision & thought leadership in Ocean Cargo Business
* Devise and execute strategies to leverage existing product knowledge, domain competence and client relationship to deliver tangible business outcomes to the clients.
* Position the company as a thought leader in the space and to our clients through regular presence and participation in industry forums, customer think tanks, etc.
* Delivering the business – P&L and functional leadership
* Ensure the Ocean Cargo business meets its yearly, short-term and long-term business goals.
* Lead multi-functional teams spanning Product Management, Engineering, Implementation, Customer Support and Presales to achieve the business goals.
* Ensure customer satisfaction and reference ability for the business by owning, maintaining and growing the relationships with customers.
* Work with the Global Sales and Marketing (GSM) to craft the region-specific Go-To-Market plans/ strategies to identify and nurture prospects into business opportunities for deal closure.
* Contribution as member of the leadership team of the Cargo and Logistics Line of Business

The ideal candidate should have a performance-based track record of success. He or she must be capable of accelerating growth while leveraging on existing success to establish the industry’s best client-focused solutions.
Specific areas of expertise required are:
* Strategic thinking, as demonstrated by the ability to identify and continually assess key issues relevant to goals, and to direct a large organization around the achievements.
* Prior management experience in running a successful global product business. Experience in running P&L for a product or business line.
* Solid business acumen and operating experience, in the identification and implementation of sales programs designed to address client needs.
* A 'lead by example' style: the successful executive must exhibit flexibility and an ability to deal effectively with market ambiguity in the course of doing business.
* Excellent team management skills, including the ability to recruit, direct, coach, and mentor multi-cultural, multi-national teams in a way that motivates top performance and inspires collaborative behaviour and company loyalty.
* Demonstrated management capabilities, including the ability to employ fair and systematic decision-making processes across a large organization.
* Experience in managing software business in Logistics industry. Should have lead product business providing solutions to the customers in the logistics industry.
* Exposure to ocean cargo business is an advantage for the position.
