SENIOR DRILLING ENGINEER – ITALY – DIRECT HIRE CONTRACT
Our Client, a Major Engineering Contractor is seeking a Senior Drilling Engineer to join their team working in Italy on a residential basis.
Our Client is also looking for Senior Completion Engineers and Junior Drilling and Completion Engineers (with 5 years experience).
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
* Engineering Degree/Diploma (preferable).
* Specific experience of at least 10 years is required together with continuous training on the subject.
* Good knowledge of Italian and English languages
JOB SCOPE:
Develop the design of oil wells and plan drilling and well abandonment activities safely and efficiently, foreseeing the use of the best available technologies and the most appropriate techniques for the construction of wells, in accordance with the COMPANY's corporate procedures, with HSEQ standards and oil well engineering best practices.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE

* Take care of the entire wells design process by interfacing with the completion engineering, well intervention and production optimization functions, also using the software that will be made available by the COMPANY (e.g. Compass, StressCheck, WellCost, WellPlan, WellCat).
* Prepare drilling and well abandonment programs with particular attention to the integrity of the wells, the choice of available technologies and the carrying out of operations safely and efficiently.
* Prepare time estimates for wells to be drilled
* Follow the progress of drilling and well abandonment ongoing operations, including the analysis of data transmitted in Real Time from the rigs.
* Provide support in resolving operational issues during well drilling and abandonment.
* Develop contingency plans, identifying corrective actions and suggesting any improvements to drilling and well abandonment programs.
* Analyze drilling costs and performance, preparing benchmark analyses.
* Prepare End Of Well Reports (EOWR).
* Develop studies and reports to carry out specific technical analysis and capitalize on lessons learned.
Rate: Neg Euros per day (net of local tax) – please quote what you would be looking for
Duration: 12 months renewable contract starting ASAP
Status: Residential. Working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday - Friday). However the end Client may request different working hours when/if needed
We are instructed to only submit to our Client candidates whose qualifications and experience match client’s specification and are Italian or EU or other nationalities with current resident and work permit for Italy.
