Overview:

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Art and Design Teacher to join our secondary school community starting September 2024. This is a long-term contract extending until the end of July 2025. The role primarily involves teaching Art and Design to Key Stage 3 students, with some involvement in Key Stage 4. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with recent experience and a passion for fostering creativity and expression in students. Whether you're an experienced Art and Design Teacher seeking a fulfilling long-term position or an ECT with a knack for inspiring young minds, we encourage you to apply. Additionally, we welcome applications from unqualified Art and Design Teachers who possess relevant experience in teaching both KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging Art and Design lessons that stimulate creativity and cultural appreciation.

Assess students' progress and skills, offering constructive feedback and support.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Art and Design curriculum and engage in extracurricular activities.

Located in Fareham, the mixed secondary school serves students aged 11 to 16, totaling around 700 students. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Art or a related field (required)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification

Demonstrated experience teaching Art and Design to secondary school students

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
