Job Description:
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? My client is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join the team in Leeds. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality services to clients whilst playing a key part in the day-to-day running of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand contractual terms and conditions.
Prepare take-off and material schedules
Prepare and analyse project costings for labour, plant, material and sub-contract items including sub-contractor comparisons
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and Activity Schedules
Negotiate contracts terms, attendances and payment schedules
Prepare and issue subcontractor orders, overseeing all commercial performance throughout the contract duration
Perform risk, value management and cost control during construction
Undertake cost analysis
Advise on a procurement strategy
Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes
Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
Value completed work (AFP), oversee bills and arrange payments within the payment schedule timeline
Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
Price variations and Compensation Events
Prepare Loss and Expense Claims and EOTs
