We have partnered with a challenger bank who operate in business banking providing a variety of loan products to SME sized businesses across Europe. A well established and profitable organisation they employ approximately 300 FTE primarily based from their Central London offices. Trading for around a decade they have built up strong relationships with a variety of partners to ensure they are connecting to their target client base in addition to being exceptionally well funded and building long term lending partners.

They have an opportunity for a Head of Credit Control to lead a team responsible for reducing outstanding and delinquent debt for the organisation while maintaining relationships. The team is multi lingual covering a number of countries across Europe. There are initiatives across the function to improve efficiency by improving both business processes and systems as well as interaction with other key business functions. The role will have a strong focus on Collections and recoveries.

Responsibilities:

* Reduce defaults, accelerate late payments and reduce debt sold to DCA’s

* Team management – circa 15 all based in London

* Operational Execution

* Monitor and report KPI’s

* Process and system improvement

* Build key stakeholder relationships

Ideal Candidate:

* Held a Head of Collections, Recoveries or Credit control role

* Financial services experience

* Led teams of a similar size

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Process improvement experience

* Data analysis and BI

The team is full time office based, therefore this role is based on site 5 days per week
