Cladding Operative

As a Cladding Operative, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining cladding systems on various structures such as commercial buildings, residential complexes, and industrial facilities. You will work with a team to ensure that cladding projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Requirements:
1. Installation: Properly measure, cut, and install cladding materials according to specifications and blueprints.
2. Material Handling: Safely handle and transport cladding materials to and from the worksite.
3. Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for cladding installation by cleaning, sanding, or applying adhesives as necessary.
4. Quality Control: Inspect completed cladding installations to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and equipment.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople, to coordinate workflow and ensure project deadlines are met.
7. Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing cladding systems to address damage or deterioration.
8. Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the cladding process.
Skills:
1. Experience: Previous experience in cladding installation or a related construction field is preferred.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as knowledge of various cladding materials and installation techniques.
3. Attention to Detail: Ability to carefully measure, cut, and install cladding materials with precision to ensure a high-quality finish.
4. Physical Stamina: Capable of performing manual labour and working at heights while adhering to safety protocols.
5. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions accurately.
6. Problem-solving: Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during cladding installation or repair.
7. Safety Consciousness: Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety procedures and regulations.
