Tradewind are currently working with a Lewisham based Behavioural School and they are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work one-to-one with a Year 3 student who has recently joined the school.
About the School:
This is a vibrant and inclusive school committed to providing a nurturing environment for students to thrive academically and personally. They cater for students in KS3,4 and 5 with SEMH (Social and Emotional Mental Health) and EBD (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties).
Job Responsibilities:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible for working closely with a Year 3 student who has ADHD and comes from a challenging and disadvantaged background. Your primary role will be to provide individualised support, ensuring the student's academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementing tailored strategies to address the specific needs of the student
Supporting the student in both academic and social settings
Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create a supportive learning environment
Monitoring and recording the student's progress and behaviour
Providing a positive and encouraging atmosphere for the student to thriveQualifications and Requirements:
Experience working with children, particularly those with ADHD or additional needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
