Night Transport Planner

Position: Night Transport Planner

Location: Southampton

Hours: Monday to Friday (16:00 - 02:00)

Salary: Up to £32,000

We are recruiting for one of the UK's leading and independently owned Logistics companies. They seek an experienced Night Transport Planner to join their established and expanding team.
You will be overseeing the night operation as well as dispatching and debriefing drivers.

The Role of a Night Transport Planner:

Overseeing the night operation, dispatching and debriefing drivers and booking VBS Slots
Routing and scheduling vehicles efficiently and effectively to optimise fleet utilisation
Hands-on coordination of emergency response and resolution of road incidents
Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost-effectively
Completing all administration tasks and dealing with infringements, so good attention to detail is required
Maintaining company policies and procedures
Answering the telephone liaising directly with drivers and customers and problem-solving
The Requirements:

General Haulage experience - ESSENTIAL
Container planning experience - BENEFICIAL
Good understanding of WTD & Tacho laws
Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK
The Package:

£28,000 - £32,000
23 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays)
