Job Description:As an Accounts Payable Processor, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks related to the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and other supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Code and enter invoices into the accounting system accurately and promptly.
Process payments to vendors and suppliers via check, ACH, or wire transfer in accordance with payment terms and company policies.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation.
Assist with the preparation of accounts payable reports and analysis as needed.
Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and receiving, to ensure accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments.
Adhere to internal controls and compliance requirements related to accounts payable processing.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software/systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office, especially Excel.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles is a plus.
