Your future plans
The "Systems and Processes Team" within the Intraday Trading and Dispatch Management Desk is in charge of the operation and development of various core operational systems for the commercialisation and control of one of Europe's largest fleets of power stations.
More than 20 GW of currently installed capacity are spread across various asset classes including conventional, renewable and storage and we look forward to an additional 3 GW from RWE's Battery investment pipeline in the very near future.
We coordinate and drive all overarching projects that aim to further develop the processes, systems and business of short-term portfolio optimisation, ensuring the right balance between future-oriented topics and continuous improvement of the existing business.
Systematically analyse and document the existing systems and processes and their interaction
Coordinate activities, systems and processes around our strongly growing (in number and capacity) and expanding (in number of countries) asset portfolio within the remit of the Intraday Trading and Dispatch Management team
Drive and participate in overarching projects that aim to further develop our processes, systems and business
Support the development of a long-term picture for the optimisation system landscape
Extensively collaborate with operative business users, IT, modelling experts and software suppliers and develop new functionalities to "translate business requirements into optimisation solutions"
Provide stakeholder management towards the various interest groups
Monitor and back test the behaviour of the systems to identify issues and improve their stability
Your powerful skills
University degree in a relevant subject, e.g. in mathematics, engineering, natural science or a related field, preferably combined with a commercial education or background
At least 3 years of professional experience in a commercial / analytical or optimisation role (or directly related / comparable) and a proven track-record in changing roles and taking different perspectives
Strong analytical and conceptual skills to suit the complexity of the systems and their interdependencies
The ability to effectively communicate complex matters with stakeholders from different levels of expertise and backgrounds
Ability to independently assess various approaches to solving tasks and reach decisions in a structured manner
Excellent team player and professionalism in collaboration with stakeholders
Courage to address problems, gaps and development needs in a solution-oriented and constructive manner taking into account divers perspectives on the topic
Fluent language skills in German
Advantageous, but not a must
First experience in a project management role
Fluent language skills in English
