My client is an ambitious business with a passion and desire to constantly evolve to stay ahead of chosen markets. As one of the UK's leading manufacturers and distributors of flooring and houseware products, my client also have a growing profile in the home interiors market focused around sustainability and recycling.
The Role
As an Account Manager, we are looking for an individual that has:
• Proven ability to identify and reach sales and profitability targets
• Ability to identify and act upon new areas for growth and increase sales, maximising sales and margin opportunities.
• Communicating to clients clearly and addressing their needs
• Negotiating and closing business contracts with existing and new clients
• Delivering sales pitch to prospective clients
• Preparing and presenting business and account updates to the company’s management and clients
• Monitoring the budget of the client, explaining costs or expenditures and discussing new terms if necessary
• Ensure clients are given the highest customer service levels
• Contributing information to sales strategies by assessing current product results, monitoring competitive products, assessing needs to be filled and analysing customer reactions
• Ability to act on customer feedback and provide meaningful solutions
• Working knowledge of relevant software, including spreadsheets and CRM
• Confidence and ability to deal with high-end clients and important stakeholders
• Onboarding new clients and develop working relationships
• Coaching and supporting team members to help them meet company goals
• Keeping documentation and records of client interactions
• Developing surveys and obtaining client information
• SKU management: generate recommendations for new product additions and product deletions and create data for new product submissions.
• Establish a working relationship with all internal colleagues (Design, Merchandise, Operations & Production)
• Attend and participate at National and Regional Conventions/Shows.
• Travel may be required.
Experience & Competencies:
• Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in the following areas: Microsoft Office Suite (inc strong Excel skills).
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret/adapt system procedures or operating concepts to fit new situations.
• Ability to conceptualise, organise and execute new initiatives.
• Proven account management skills.
• Strong sales track record.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, willing to take the initiative.
• Ability to prioritise and multitask in order to deliver desired outcomes within allotted time frames.
