Search recruitment are looking for an experienced Caretaker/Janitor for a permanent post with our client in Dundee.
Location: Dundee
Salary: £26k per year
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm or 8am - 4pm
You will have a variety of duties, ranging from security, janitorial and reporting duties. These include:
Weekly fire Alarm test - different call point each week.
Manage consumables orders and storage and supply.
Monthly room inspections for cookers/fridges/heaters to ensure they are still in working order
Moving furniture within the vicinity upon request or instruction
Liaise with the laundry company
Maintain record of scheduled visitors and contractors ensuring sign in book updated, navigate unexpected visitors to ensure they are authorised person(s) and manage any banned visitors appropriately
You will be the Police and Fire on site contact
Report any antisocial or illegal activity to appropriate person
Pre and post tenancy deep clean - maintain record of these
Report repairs and fire alarm activation's by email - emergency repairs within 1hr
Maintain database of emergency contact where applicable
Maintain record of vacant rooms and clean/to clean rooms
Manage and report tenant disputesAny additional training such as first aid or security experience is beneficial but is not a set requirement for the role.
