Location : Pontefract

Salary : up to £45,000 depending on experience.

Hours : 40 hrs. per week (Monday to Friday 9-5pm)

Dutton Recruitment are working in partnership with one of our valued clients to recruit for an Care Manager for one of their residential care homes in Pontefract. This is a very exciting opportunity for the right person and will really involve you working closely with the team onsite to continuously improve the service and drive standards forwards.

As the Registered Manager you will work closely with the support staff and larger team to ensure the people they support are being provided with the highest levels of care and support as possible, continuously looking at ways to improve and develop the service. You will support with the management of all support staff ,and Team Leaders - providing support to adults with autism, learning disabilities, mental health, complex needs, and some behaviours that challenge. The team as a whole consists of roughly 40 staff, a strong deputy manager, senior support workers and a team of support workers.

You will be expected to carry out the below duties:

Ensure the team follow support plans and complete appropriate paperwork
Supervise team members in line with our schedule
Lead team meetings
Report and manage safeguarding matters
Participate in on call as part of a rota (every other day in the week then one weekend in 6)
Ensure that the Rota is in place and all care hours are covered
Attend and contribute to internal and external meetings
Manage Payroll in the service
Assist with recruitment and development of support workers
Assist with referrals as and when required
Any other duties reasonably applicable to the roleTo be considered for this role you must have experience in support in a supervisory capacity at service manager/Registered manager level. You will have your L4/L5 in Health and social care. You will have experience of managing a team of 40 plus staff, conducting appraisals, supervisions, empowering others, reviewing budgets, handling complaints, staff rotas and working within the CQC Framework
