Exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing team responsible for assembling and finishing premium quality metal fabrication products.
Our client is an award-winning manufacturer of standard and bespoke cable management systems, specialising in high quality floor boxes installed in high end residential (Buckingham Palace), retail (Harrods, Burberry) hospitality (Peninsula Hotel) and office spaces (80 Charlotte St Fitzrovia W1) in the UK and worldwide. Our customers, our brand and our quality are at the heart of everything we do.
This is a small, entrepreneurial business in which you will have to think on your feet. Therefore, someone who enjoys a busy day, is happy to “muck in” with whatever will help keep the business moving forward will do well. The role is based in our factory near Croydon and applicants must live locally, ideally within a 30-45 minute commute.

Main duties
* Supervise department responsible for finishing and assembling metal floor boxes
* Lead and motivate team of 6 finishing staff
* Assemble and finish products
* Manage daily production to meet planned schedule and completion dates
* Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments
* Health & Safety leadership
* Set and maintain product and quality standards
* Maintain departmental stock levels
* Lead by example, demonstrating ethics and integrity and displaying drive and purpose
* Work as part of the factory management team to share ideas and improve operations
Ideally, you will have the following approach, experience and ambitions
Minimum 3 years as Supervisor in a metal fabrication environment, working with brass and steel
Set-up and operate machines such as spot welder, fly press, bushing machine, notching, linishing, grinding and drills
Work with technical drawings
Use PC/Microsoft Office and ideally Sage 200 Evolution
Professional, well-organised and proactive member of the team
Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Flexible and ambitious to develop your skills and knowledge

Competitive salary, depending on experience
* Bonus schemes
* Monthly bonus of 10% of salary if company hits sales revenue target (we hit target every month last financial year)
* Quarterly bonus based on share of profits made by the company (paid every quarter depending on profit achieved)

* 39 hours per week.
* Monday to Thursday: 8am-4.30; Friday 8am-3.30pm
* No weekends
