The client, an independent Transport Consultancy who have been established since 2007, is on the lookout for a CAD designer to join the team based in Newcastle! The client works on projects across all sectors including complex residential, leisure, education, minerals, employment, logistics.

The Position of a CAD Designer:

the position
Preparation of technical drawings utilising AutoCAD.
Preliminary design of access and basic junction design (priority, roundabouts, signalisation).
Swept Path Analysis using AutoTrack.
Preparation of high-quality graphics using GIS packages and/ or Corel Draw.
Excellent communication skills; and
Good levels of numeracy and literacy.

Essential Criteria for the candidate as a CAD Designer

Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning degree
Either hold or working towards Chartered Membership of the RTPI.
Excellent report writing, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and within the supporting team.
Solution-focused
UK driving licence.
