Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: West Lothian
Exciting opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer within the Oil and Gas industry working within offshore platforms, Subsea pipelines and defence.
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge in AutoCAD and related software, engineering qualities in FEA, Mechanical Calcs is essential.
Role Summary:
* Control of drawings using product data management software
* Preparing final designs including detailed drawings and general arrangements
* Producing bespoke designs
* Creating rapid prototypes and FEA models of products
* FEA Calculations (use of FEA tools such as Ansys...etc.)
* Post inspection of products and making final design adjustments
Position Requirements
* Ideally qualified in a mechanical discipline
* Industry experience within a mechanical design position
* Experience with design from initial concept to finished detailing.
* Be self-sufficient within mechanical design.
* Be keen for innovating new products.
* 3D design software experience, FEA
* Proficient with MS Office
