Workshop Support

CabelUK is looking for a Workshop Support operative to join it's existing workshop team of technicians.
As a workshop operative, you will be a member of the team responsible for supporting the team with general workshop duties i.e.
* Cleaning the products which belong to our customers,
* Dismantling the machines which need to be repaired,
* Prepare the machines for collection/dispatch
* Respond to the other members of the team’s requests for assistance, whatever the cause.
* Assist other operatives to complete the assembly requirements.
* Perform any basic maintenance required on the machinery, tooling and equipment.
* Ensure excellent standard of housekeeping are maintained.
* Respond to any requirements for delivery/collecting parts therefore you must possess a full UK driving licence
* Products/materials around workshop/business premises.
As a workshop operative, you should be:
* Have a mechanical aptitude
* Flexible in your work approach
* Excellent team working ethics
* Be able to work under your own initiative and be highly self-motivated
* Be able to work under pressure and to strict customer deadlines
* Have basic knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Technical Background and experience:
Basic mechanical aptitude/interest in mechanics.
Due to the nature of the business and the service offering of 24 hours support to the client base you will be expected to undertake some level of flexibility within the normal working pattern and be available to work a level of un-social hours as and when required.
Essential skills and experience required:
* Full UK driving licence
* Use of hand tools is essential
* Clear understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary plus bonus share scheme. With additional skills and development and based on performance, potential salary growth
Benefits: Attractive Profit Bonus Share Scheme 5% contributed Company Pension scheme 26 days holiday (inclusive of 6 Bank Holidays) plus 2 Bank Holidays (Xmas Day and New Years Day). Holiday entitlement increases with service upto max of 31 days holiday.

Hours of Work
(Apply online only) and/or (Apply online only) hours Monday to Friday (inclusive of some Bank Holidays), FLEXIBILITY REQUIRED, occasional out-of-hours overtime on occasion during week and/or at weekends .
