Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Wakefield, starting in September 2024. We are seeking an individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:
Support students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, autism, and emotional and behavioural challenges.
Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities that cater to the individual needs of students.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with students to encourage their social and emotional development.
Provide one-on-one support and small group interventions to help students achieve their academic goals.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and respected.
Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN coordinators and external agencies, to ensure comprehensive support for all students.What We Are Looking For:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an SEN setting.
A strong understanding of the needs of students with special educational needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is desirable but not essential.Why Join Us?
