Accelerate Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford, commencing in September 2024. This role offers the chance to inspire and support students while contributing to a vibrant educational environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education for students during teacher absences. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising classes, ensuring a productive learning atmosphere, and managing student behaviour to create a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and materials, maintaining the school's high educational standards.
Support individual students or small groups to enhance their understanding and performance.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect and good behaviour.
Assist with administrative tasks and contribute to the wider school community.Essential Requirements:

Previous experience working in a secondary school setting, ideally as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to different classroom environments and subjects.
