Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on and confident Part-time Events Coordinator to manage a variety of events. Reporting to the Operations Manager within a close-knit team of 5, you will also be responsible for managing a team of volunteers during event days. 

This is a replacement position for 3 days a week, however there is potential for the role to become full-time as/when demand requires it. Please be aware that the salary advertised is the full-time equivalent. Actual salary for 3 days per week is £21,000-£24,000.

Part-Time Events Coordinator Responsibilities 
 
The responsibilities for this role are varied and will include: 

To plan, organise, develop and manage events  

To ensure all events are appropriately resourced 

To identify external events  

To manage the equipment and resources required for events  

To manage the relationship with the sponsors and suppliers  

To complete risk assessments for all events, ensuring compliance with venue requirements. 

To source and manage contractors to support the delivery of events 

To manage the relationships with other third parties to deliver events 

To manage the health and safety of events 

To resource and manage volunteers at events to include their health and wellbeing 

To promote the events via website, publications and social media.

Part-Time Events Coordinator Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced events professional who has managed the full life cycle of events from pre-event planning, vendor and supplier relationship management, budget management to coordination on the day ensuring all runs smoothly. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for seeing results and a high level of organisation. If you have facilitatedevents in a variety of environments (particularly including outdoor events), love the buzz of the day with keen problem-solving skills, this may be the right role for you! You will also be IT proficient, and have excellent communication (written and verbal) and organisation skills. Please note it is essential due to the office location that you hold a driver’s license and have access to a car. 

Location 
 
Our client is based in Wallingford (OX10) there is parking available onsite.  

Please note that this role is 22.5 hours per week, over three days (exact days to be discussed at interview).  

To begin with, the role will be office-based, but once you are settled you may work from home 1 day a week. This can be increased as, and when, the role becomes full-time - dependent on need.  

You may be required to work circa 8 weekends in the year to support with events. This may vary according to business needs so availability to work some weekends is essential.  

Due to location, you will need a driver’s license and access to a car. There is plenty of free parking on site. Some events locations require an overnight stay so availability to travel for the amount of weekends highlighted above would be ideal.
