VALiNTRY is seeking a senior maintenance Supervisor with expertise in Mechanical and Electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 per year. However, if you possess additional valuable skill sets that could benefit the enterprise, you may be eligible for higher compensation. We encourage strong technical candidates to apply without hesitation.
Required Experience Maintaining CNC Machine, Forklifts, and Warehouses, in a manufacturing environment.
Responsible for overseeing all mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance activities within the plant, the incumbent performs the following duties personally:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Supervise and guide the team to excel in the Cares Programs.
* Assess maintenance and repair needs through regular preventative and predictive maintenance schedules, personal inspections, observations, and departmental requests.
* Coordinate and schedule facility, equipment, and utility shutdowns using approved business tools and systems, issuing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules as necessary.
* Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, reporting budget versus actual costs.
* Monitor cost-effective computerized preventative and predictive maintenance, procedures, and spare parts inventory.
* Conduct internal and external training for maintenance personnel.
* Analyze maintenance costs and recurring items.
* Provide accurate labor time and cost estimates for maintenance activities.
* Establish reliable "return to service" schedules for equipment downtime.
* Monitor facility conditions, identify maintenance needs, and recommend options.
* Maintain and update all safety-related equipment in collaboration with the HSEQ Group.
* Maintain and update all security devices on-site in coordination with the HSEQ and IT Groups.
* Support Capital Project activities, including engineering, planning, quotation, and budgeting processes.
* Ensure the Master Equipment List (MEL) and Equipment Capability Statements are properly updated and issue routine and special reports as required.
* Manage new equipment installation and start-up projects as directed by the group manager.
* Ensure consistency with company-wide practices.
* Perform any additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Indirectly manage 1-2 staff and supervise 5-15 Maintenance Coordinators, Electrical, Mechanical, Facility, and Shift Maintenance Technicians.
* Carry out management/supervisory responsibilities by organizational policies and applicable laws.
* Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and QUALIFICATIONS:
* A four-year degree in an Engineering Discipline plus 10-15 years of experience; or a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus 15-20 years of experience.
* Experience in plant manufacturing machines, equipment, controls, and office facilities, with at least ten years of supervisory experience.
* Strong communication and management/supervision skills.
* Highly developed technical and mechanical skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, and Outlook, and proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments.
* Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, equipment and building drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear.
* Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
* Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
* Ability to clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noise.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
* Plant/Shop/Field Services:
* Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and the risk of electrical shock.
* Regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions (outside weather conditions); high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration.
* Occasionally exposed to the risk of radiation or electrical shock.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
* Office:
* Normally work in an office environment or from home as needed by the business; however, occasionally may work at a branch location or manufacturing facility.
* Occasionally may be exposed to hazards such as loud noise, heavy equipment, temperature extremes, chemicals, etc., while visiting a branch location or manufacturing facility.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
