class 1 driver

If you are a Class 1 Driver looking for part time shifts (2 / 3 per week) or are struggling to get full weeks work with your current agency, then we have the role for you.

Our client is based in Normanton and is looking for Class 1 Drivers who can work 2 / 3 shifts per week. This will suit Class 1 Drivers who can work days or nights, with the client being operational Monday through to Sunday.

The role is pallet work, with around 1 / 3 drops per shift (pallets are taken off using the other companies FLT), working around 10 / 12 hours. You will be working on curtain sided trailers. The Class 1 Drivers will need to have held their licence for 1 x year, due to the company’s insurance requirements.

Prior to starting, the Class 1 Drivers will need to complete the company’s induction forms, so you are ready to work for them.

Key details about the job:

Ad Hoc Shifts – 2 / 3 per week
Days & Nights available (Monday through to Sunday)
Curtain Sided Trailers
Around 10 / 12 hours per shift
Pay details: 
Monday to Friday Days - £19.15 assignment rate
Monday to Friday Nights – £20.50 assignment rate
Saturday All Hours - £21.80 assignment rate
Sunday All Hours - £23.10 assignment rate.

Requirements:

Need to have held your Class 1 HGV licence for at least 1 x year (with experience)
In-date CPC and Digi Tacho Card
No more than 6 penalty points (no IN DR or DD codes) for insurance purposes
Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
A good, professional attitude
