We are looking for 2 Steel Fixers for an 8 week assignment to help build a number of small-medium structures on a site near Cheltenham. Project starts Monday 24th June & you will need to commit for the entire time.

If all goes well here, there will be other sites to go onto.

Pay Rate: £220 - £240 a day
Hours: 7.00am - 5.00pm
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Duration: 8 weeks

Job Role:

* Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the required layout and dimensions of rebar.

* Cut and shape steel using tools such as pliers, wire cutters, and rebar benders.

* Place steel in the correct position and secure it using wire or plastic ties.

* Weld or bolt rebar pieces together as required.

* Assist shuttering carpenters with form work or pouring concrete depending on the site size and staffing

* Ensure that all rebar is installed to the required standards and specifications.

* Collaborate with the construction team to ensure that the project is completed on time and to the required quality standards.

* Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Steel Fixer

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

* Must possess CSCS card

* Strong knowledge of rebar installation techniques and procedures.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Physically fit and able to work in a construction environment.
