Field Service Generator Engineer

Our client who focuses on construction and industrial equipment are currently looking for a Field Service Generator Engineer, based in the Home Counties.

This position is field based, to provide onsite support to a range of generator machinery. The focus of this role is keeping the machinery in optimal operating condition through maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

This position is field based; however, you will also be required to work in a workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanical and electrical fault finding
Servicing and repairing generators and associated equipment
Investigate, diagnose and resolve reports of technical problems
Service all equipment on and off site – in the workshop and on the field
Working independently to troubleshoot issues
Complete all paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures
Comply to all Health and Safety procedures
Develop long-lasting relationships with clients and customersEssential Key Skills:

Strong mechanical knowledge/aptitude
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in generators
Knowledge and understanding of engines, control panels, wiring diagrams, and alternators
Diagnostic skills
The ability to work independently and/or within a team
Commercial awareness, with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers/clients
Flexibility and efficiencyDesirable Skills:
