Final Finishing Senior Supervisor – Day Shift (£20 Per Hour!)
We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Supervisor to join our client – a leading Modular Building Specialist in West Yorkshire.
This role is responsible for ensuring team leaders and operatives are actively engaged to meet high safety, quality and environmental standards as well as meeting or exceeding output targets while maintaining high standards of quality.
As Senior Supervisor your area of responsibility will be the Final Finishing department which oversees the fit out of the modules and will cover Fitting, Plumbing, Paint and final Quality inspections.
Key duties As Senior Supervisor:
* Responsible for monitoring, enforcing and complying with all aspects of Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance, ensure team and sub-contractors are working safely with high standards of housekeeping. Ensure team have received relevant training and inductions. Write risk assessment and SOP where needed. Conduct accident and near miss investigations with the General Manager / Production Manager.
* Organise, control and direct the activities of team leaders and operatives under your supervision according to production plan and priorities set by the General Manager within the allocated time and the planned client requirement date.
* Ensure materials are used effectively, safely and stored correctly and all plant, equipment and tools are maintained in conjunction with the Maintenance team.
* Set targets for jobs and control budget across your team.
* Monitor attendance and absence within team
* Ensure production operatives are trained in tasks being performed within the department and identify training needs with the General Manager and HR team.
* Ensure company policies and procedures are been followed and maintain discipline within the department, carry out formal disciplinary reviews and return to work interviews when required.
* Collaborate with the Lean Practitioner to develop continuous improvement programme within your area.
Requirements As Senior Supervisor:
* Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role
* NVQ Level or Team Leadership course
* IOSH Training or Equivalent
* Experience of Manufacturing – Modular manufacturing desirable.
* Able to read engineering drawings.
* Basic IT Skills
* Good written and communication skills
