The company is a manufacturer of sustainable paper based packaging, Who are looking for a HR Field Operations Generalist to join their team paying up to £45,000pa depending on experience.

HR Field Operations Generalist
The Role of the HR Field Operations Generalist:
To be the first point of contact for all HR queries. Responsible for a range of HR functions such a recruitment, performance issues, on-boarding, employee relations, policies, and procedures etc. To provide in-house HR advice and support and guidance on a wide range of HR matters to all employees and managers on site
Main Duties of the HR Field Operations Generalist:
Participating in and supporting managers with full case management on ER cases.
Advising and aiding managers with all aspects of the company absence policy
Managing any long-term absence for a return to work or terminations, including occupational health referrals.
Support, coach and challenge line management with disciplinary and grievance issues
Assist in delivering training to line managers to ensure they understand and comply with HR policies and procedures.
Providing HR Admin support across the whole employee lifecycle
Support the effective communication and implementation of HR policies such as parental leave, flexible working
Support and drive employee engagement on site
Signposting employees to the relevant support where applicable -SIMON and Employee Shared Services
Build positive and effective relationships with unions and agency suppliers
Supporting the line managers, coordinate the various end-to-end recruitment campaigns, including preparing job adverts, facilitating shortlisting, interviews and carrying out exit interviews.
Working with the wider business, incorporate and implement a full Onboarding process for new hires (including any relevant Occupational Health Audio Testing/ Driver assessments)
Coordinate and follow up the completion of probationary / performance reviews.
Support the Early Career Framework and the Apprenticeship programme
Produce interpret and present monthly, end of year and ad-hoc HR KPI’s and reports (staff turnover, sickness absence, leavers, new starter surveys, diversity & inclusion, etc)
Accurate and timely administration and maintenance of all HR database and systems
Support the development of an HR framework for the business, including designing forms, processes, systems and templates.
Ensure wellbeing, inclusion and engagement initiatives are carried out.
Support the wider HR and management team in all aspects of HR projects and initiatives as required.
Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, contractors and other external contacts.
Working with the Plant Managers on succession planning and talent management
Payroll data preparation in line with payroll cut offs
Participation in audits such as BRC and ethical audits

Key Skills:
Required
Prior experience within an HR role
Experience of advising, supporting and coaching managers
Excellent IT skills
Strong oral and written presentation and communication skills
High level of interpersonal skills
Ability to manage their own time and meet deadlines
Methodical and organised
Excellent attention to detail together with a high level of accuracy
Experience of implementing processes with a sense of fulfilment
Ability to work in a fast-moving HR environment
Able to work autonomously and be self sufficient
Desirable
Working within a manufacturing or the logistics industry
Experience with annualised hour contracts
Qualifications:
Required
CIPD level 5 qualified (or working towards) or equivalent
Knowledge of employment law and HR best practice and legislation and how to apply this
Working knowledge of the end-to-end recruitment process
Desirable

A high level of customer service with the ability to bend and flex your communication style accordingly
Good commercial awareness within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and experience of dealing with Unions
Salary:
Up to £45,000pa + £450 per month car allowance
