We're looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our client's growing finance team in Harrogate.
Our client is a leading manufacturing company that supplies major UK retailers and has a strong export business to the USA, Canada, and Australia.
👔 Accounts Assistant
🕒 Office based; Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
💰 Salary of £24,000 - £28,000 per year.
🌴 Holiday entitlement of 25 + 8 days per year.
🏦 People's Pension scheme.
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be mentored by an experienced Finance Manager and gain hands-on experience in various finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Sales Order Processing.
You will also be able to work towards a formal AAT qualification, supported by in-house training and practical learning experiences.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Process daily sales orders and coordinate with the operations team.
Manage sales ledger duties, including issuing invoices, credit notes, and statements.
Take an active role in managing accounts receivables and payables, including debtors chasing.
Assist with month-end support and perform ad hoc weekly tasks.
Embrace a varied workload and enthusiastically tackle any challenges.What we are looking for:
Some experience in accountancy or office-based roles is preferred but not mandatory.
Good with numbers and a keen eye for detail.
Resilient, enthusiastic, and eager to learn and develop your skills.
