Mechanical Project Manager - Water Treatment

I am looking to recruit a Mechanical Project Manager for my client a well established leading and rapidly expanding water treatment engineering consultancy.

They are leaders in developing and delivering advanced wastewater treatment systems for municipal and industrial applications. They collaborate with international engineering companies to ensure thier projects are not only innovative but also sustainable and cost-effective.

They have a long standing reputation for delivery with a industry leading client base accross United Utilities, Severn Trent, Scottis Water, SEPA, Thames water etc

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager, on a hybrid basis, who will play a pivotal role in leading our engineering projects from conception through to completion.

The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee and manage the full project lifecycle of our engineering initiatives. Based in our Hinckley office, this role combines field and office work, requiring hands-on leadership from inception through to the commissioning phase.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and resource allocation.

* Conduct engineering management tasks, including the development of operations and maintenance manuals.

* Provide support in tender preparation and cost estimations.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Requirements:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience in a similar role or within the wastewater industry.

* Strong CEPEX Project Management skills and proficiency in Project Engineering.

* Excellent organizational and contractor management skills.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

* Full clean driving license, with some travel and overnight stays required.

Desirable:

* Experience in construction-related projects.

* PMP certification or equivalent.

* Knowledge of water hydraulics and experience within the Waste and Clean water industry.
