We are proud to be working with a small care provider that operates a portfolio of care homes throughout England. These homes offer a range of care services, including nursing, residential and dementia care settings for older people.
The client is currently seeking a seasoned and dedicated Home Manager with previous experience of successfully managing an elderly care home providing nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the medium sized care home providing nursing and residential care. Due to recent events, turnaround is required within the home to get it into more favourable standings. The home has excellent links with the local community but requires support with the recruitment and retention of permanent staff. It is worth noting that occupancy of the home remains high with a small number of beds currently unoccupied.
The Candidate
The suitable candidate for the position will either be nurse qualified or have experience of manging a nursing service. It is essential they can evidence the previously successful running of a care home providing nursing and dementia care. The home requires a stable Home Manager who can improve the standards of the facility and ensure the vision for the home comes to fruition.
The Home Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring the dedicated staffing team are supported and all residents received outstanding person-centred care. They will be required to be present in the home, building strong relationships with residents, relatives, staff and external bodies alike. As well as this, the home manager with work towards the action plan in place to meet the requirements outlined by both the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and local authorities, with the ultimate goal of improving the standings and reputation of the home, ensuring positive CQC ratings in future inspections.
Location
This role is based in Cumbria, and is commutable from Cockermouth, Whitehaven, Workington, Maryport and Gosforth

Our client is in search of a knowledgeable Home Manager with previous experience of turning around or maintaining high standards of a care home providing nursing and residential care. It is essential the successful candidate can ensure the home operates in accordance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations. In return, the client is offering an annual salary ranging from £60k - £65k per annum + bonus.
