Key Responsibilities:
Lead management of high-value commodity packages and develop suppliers to align with total cost sourcing decisions and company requirements.
Drive the achievement of targets related to cost control, quality improvement, and lead time reduction.
Cultivate partnership relationships with vendors
Develop comprehensive commodity strategies and lead cost reduction projects.
Manage a varied workload efficiently to keep focus on key priorities.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in senior buying and commodity management within procurement supply chains.
Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills coupled with excellent commercial awareness.
Ability to communicate effectively, managing complex negotiations and present to senior management.
Good understanding of quality, engineering processes and materials.
A degree qualification is essential, CIPS membership is desirable, and Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is advantageous.
