Job Description:
We are seeking a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to support our finance team with a variety of accounting and clerical tasks crucial for the efficient handling of accounts payable transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and process invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and necessary approvals.
Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders and receipts.
Prepare and execute check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies.
Maintain updated vendor files and records.
Assist in month-end closing activities and accruals.
Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly.
Perform data entry and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
Support special projects and additional tasks as assigned by the finance team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
Demonstrated 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
