WHO WE ARE:
Firematic Supply Co. Inc., is a well-established family-owned business who has been serving those who protect us all for over 50 years! We are currently seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineer to join our busy Truck Manufacturing team.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
The Electrical Engineer on the B.R.A.T.® team reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for the design of the layout of all electrical components in newly manufactured B.R.A.T.® fire apparatus with attention to Quality, Safety, NFPA, and OEM standards.
Report to the Production Manager ensuring production schedule flow.
Design electrical layouts for 12 volt automotive systems and working closely with the electrical installers to ensure successful integration of all electrical components in newly manufactured fire apparatus.
Responsible for quality control in electrical department
Responsible for electrical supply inventory control
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:      
Degree in electrical engineering
Experience with automotive electrical/electronics and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high quality performance.
A thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes. Experience with Whelen products is a plus.
Must be able to work well and communicate with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment
Must make safety a priority
Competency in computer-aided drafting software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office
Important skills include excellent drafting, strong verbal communication, and great listening skills.
