Field Service Technician - South Louisiana

FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN (OFFSHORE 14&14) - SOUTH LOUISIANA
Summary: This is a full-time Field Technician position based in the South Louisiana Business unit, with a 7 & 7 Schedule in Offshore.
Location: South Louisiana
Pay: $18-$40 / hour
Experience: 3-5 years
Schedule: 7 & 7
Responsibilities:
Perform skilled tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and overhauls, on diesel engines, generators, natural gas engines, and compressors.
Troubleshoot and diagnose compressor system failures to optimize equipment performance.
Adhere to all company and customer policies and procedures.
Complete required paperwork accurately and promptly.
Continually develop skills in line with technological advances in the industry.
Work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.
Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
Qualifications:
Proficient in compressor and engine maintenance.
Basic knowledge of surface production equipment.
Troubleshooting skills for general electronic and mechanical control problems.
Proficient in operating diagnostic tools and possess a full set of hand tools per company standards.
Willingness to travel to locations for crew changes.
Strong customer relations skills.
Attend required training classes and/or seminars.
General computer skills and ability to use computers as diagnostic tools.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
Formal vocational training preferred.
Three to five years of engine and compressor maintenance experience.
Experience with emissions controls, Control Panels, and I&E.
Experience with Caterpillar and Waukesha engines.
Experience with Ariel, GE, and other gas compressors.
Language Skills:
Fluency in English, with the ability to read, write, and speak effectively.
Certificates and Licenses:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
CAT Training preferred.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Stand for long periods.
Work in hot and cold environments.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
