As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the entire team delivers their best, shift after shift, to not only lead them towards excellence but to inspire them. From the ordering of ingredients to the dishes being prepared, you will have your eye on every detail. You will be responsible for finding opportunities to make things more economical, and more efficient. With safety at the forefront of your mind, you will need to have a passion for the hiring, training and importantly the development of your team.
Responsibilities for this position:
Overall responsibility for the performance of the kitchen
Ensuring that all training, H&S and Food Safety requirements are met
Oversee recruitment, training, development, and engagement of your team
Oversee superior standards of hygiene, process, and quality control
Have open lines of communications with your team and managers
Comfortable managing the labor cost of your team, and reacting to changing demands where necessary
Passionate about creating an inclusive environment where your team feels not only respected, but safe and valued
Oversee food margin, ordering, stock control.
Requirements
The ability to lead and motivate your team
Strong knowledge of Hygiene, legal, H&S and Food Safety regulations
Cooperation and teamwork skills
The ability to cope under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Planning and organizational skills
Flexibility and a hands-on approach
The ability to work independently with firm decision making
Problem solving ability and resourcefulness.
